World

The second World War broke
out in 1939 and ended in 1945 between the Axis Powers (Germany, Italy, and
Japan) and Allied countries (Britain, the countries under the British Empire
and France and later joined to this War the Soviet Union and U.S.A (United
States Of America), in addition to that the many of countries participated in
this War directly or indirectly.
This War broke out when Germany
invaded other countries and controlled it under the leadership of (Adolf
Hitler) and the Nazis.
As a result, the allies
countries decided to stop the Germany
strong infinitely, then Britain
announced the War on Germany
in 1939 When the German army entered Poland ,
and shortly thereafter, (Winston Churchill) was appointed prime minister of Britain .
In 1940 Germany's attack on
Britain didn't succeed for several reasons, on top of it the British victory in
the Battle of Britain, then in 1941 Germany invaded Russia and Japan and It
also attacked Pearl Harbor in the United States, as a result United States
entered this War.
But In 1942, Japan increased its control over several
countries in Asia but this control was stopped by US forces in the Pacific Ocean .
And in the same year, Allied
forces defeated Germany and Italy in North Africa in the battle of El
Alamein, and in 1943 Allied forces began to move towards Germany from the east.
Last but not least the War
ended in 1945 when the Allies seized control of Germany ,
and Japan was defeated by
two nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki , and (Adolf
Hitler) committed suicide in the same year.
It should be noted that
Japan and Germany surrendered separately in 1945, In addition, more than 50
million people were killed during the war (which was about 3% of the 1940 world
population -est. 2.3 billion-), and twenty million Russians were among the
victims in the war, and this war stores the memory of the large numbers of Jews
and others who were killed in concentration camps and the cruel treatment of
prisoners of war arrested by the Japanese forces.
